Crime

It is a genre inspired by the crime fiction literary genre. It  may overlap and combine with many other genres, such gangster films.

The film chronicles the Corleone family under patriarch Vito Corleone, focusing on the transformation of his youngest son, Michael Corleone, from reluctant family outsider to ruthless mafia boss. It stars Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Richard Castellano, Robert Duvall, Sterling Hayden, John Marley, Richard Conte, and Diane Keaton.

The Untouchables (1987) Brian De Palma

The film follows Eliot Ness as he forms the Untouchables team to bring Al Capone to justice during Prohibition. It stars Kevin Costner, Charles Martin Smith, Andy García, Robert De Niro, and Sean Connery.

Eight people are invited to a small, isolated island off the coast of Devon, England. Ferried over, they settle in at a mansion tended by two newly hired servants, Thomas and Ethel Rogers, but their hosts are absent. When the guests sit down to dinner, they notice ten figurines of Indians in a circle. It stars Barry Fitzgerald, Walter Huston, Louis Hayward, June Duprez, Roland Young, Mischa Auer, C. Murder on the Orient Express (1974)

The film features the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, who is asked to investigate the murder of an American business tycoon aboard the Orient Express train. It stars Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Sean Connery, John Gielgud, Vanessa Redgrave, Michael York, Jacqueline Bisset, Anthony Perkins and Wendy Hiller.

The film tells several stories of criminal Los Angeles. It stars John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, and Uma Thurman.

Kiss kiss bang bang (2005) Shane Black

In the film, Harry Lockhart unintentionally wins a screen test in Los Angeles by showing remorse in an audition for a botched burglary he committed in New York City, which casting director Dabney Shaw mistakes for method acting.
